Step 1: Retrieve Stream Details from AzuraCast
- Log into https://radio.sternhost.com
- Select Your Station: Scroll down and click on manage
- Go to Livestreaming Menu
- Click on "Streamer/DJ Accounts."
- Create or Edit an Account: Either create a new Streamer account or use an existing one. Make note of the following details:
- Streamer username
- Streamer Password
- Server IP/Hostname
- Port
- Mount Point (usually something like
/)
Step 2: Configure Your Live Encoder
- Install BUTT: Download and install BUTT from https://sourceforge.net/projects/butt/files/butt%20OLD/butt-0.1.39/
- Open BUTT and Add Server Information:
- Under the "Server" section, click "Add" to configure a new server.
Enter the following details:
- Name: Any name you prefer (e.g., "My Radio Staton").
- IceCast or ShoutCast: Select IceCast option
- Address: Enter the Server IP/Hostname
- Port: Input the port number provided
- Password: Enter the Streamer password
- Icecast User: Enter the Streamer username
- Icecast Mountpoint: (usually slash "/" )
3. Audio Settings:
- Select your audio input and adjust your audio settings to match your streaming needs.
4. Save and Connect:
- Save your settings and go back to the main window.
- Click "Connect" to start the live stream. The status should change to "Connected" if the setup is correct.
